In an absorbent article body that is formed by disposing sheets on both surfaces of an absorber, in order to form folds in the width direction of the absorbent article body so as to enhance close adherence and provide favorable wear feeling when the absorbent article body is worn, this absorbent article body has sheets 11, 13, 14 attached on both surfaces of an absorber 12 and is provided to an absorbent article 1 that has a front panel 1A, a crotch part 1B, and a rear panel 1C, sequentially in the longitudinal direction which is disposed so as to be parallel to the front-back direction of a wearer's crotch. The absorbent article body has a guide structure 20 which extends in the longitudinal direction including the crotch position of the wearer, and which guides the absorbent article body, when worn, to take a folded form having a W-shaped cross-section with the central part of the cross-sectional face being projected toward the skin surface side. When both ends of the absorbent article body in the width direction are compressed so as to cause deformation and folding in the W-shape to a size of 4×T×1.25 mm where T (mm) represents the cross-sectional thickness of the absorbent article body, the reaction force exerted by the absorbent article body is, at most, 2.0 N.
