Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an absorbent article for incontinence, in which cotton fiber is used in a surface sheet, wherein, by having the range of diffusion of liquid in the surface sheet be a prescribed range or less, the feeling of surface stickiness is eliminated, water retention by the surface sheet is reduced, and urine can diffuse rapidly through the surface sheet. [Solution] Provided is an incontinence pad 1 that absorbs at least 20 cc of urine and that is for moderate quantities or more. A surface sheet 3 is obtained by applying a water-repellent agent to a spun lace unwoven fabric comprising 100% by weight of cotton fiber, and numerous holes 10 that pass through both sides of the surface sheet are formed in a region thereof that includes the portion facing an excretion opening. The diffusion area of liquid according to a prescribed diffusibility test is 2000 mm2 or less. The quantity of the water-repellent agent applied is at least 0.3 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of cotton fiber. The surface sheet 3 comprises non-defatted cotton fiber.
