Abstract:
Provided is an absorbent article packaging body (1) comprising: an absorbent article (10) which contains a water-absorbing resin and for which a value determined by dividing a quantity of water retained by a quantity of water absorbed is at least 0.55; and a packaging material (20). The moisture permeability of the packaging material (20) is 2000 g/m2∙24 h or less; the packaging material (20) is folded so as to encapsulate the absorbent article (10) in such a manner that an opening end section of the packaging material (20) that extends in a horizontal direction is located on the packaging material (20); volatile substances (71, 72) are contained in the interior of the absorbent article packaging body (1); and at least one of a pair of welding regions (R50) disposed in a pair of side edge sections in the horizontal direction has a plurality of welding sections (50) that intermittently bond the packaging material (20) and a non-welding region (R51) that is continuous from one end edge to another end edge in the horizontal direction of the welding regions (R50).
