Abstract:
The absorbent article (1) of the present invention comprises an absorbent body (AB), a pair of side flaps (SF1, SF2) and engaging tapes (8, 8), and the side flaps include a first web (7a) and a second web (7b). The production method comprises: a step in which a material web which extends in a conveying direction is cut along the conveying direction into a central web positioned in the center in the lateral direction and first and second side webs adjoining the central web on both sides, the central web having predetermined dimensions longer than the total dimensions of the first and second side webs; a step in which the first and second side webs are laminated to predetermined positions on the central web, with the first and second edges of the central web as references; and a step in which the pair of engaging tapes are bonded at predetermined positions on the central web or the first and second side webs in such a manner that part of the engaging tapes extends to the outside from the first and second edges, with the first and second edges as references.
