Abstract:
Provided is an absorbent article having: a pair of central-part compressed grooves (21) which are formed from an obverse surface sheet (3) side toward a reverse surface sheet (2) side in a body (8) of the absorbent article so as to be linearly symmetrical with the centerline of the article as the symmetry axis; a pair of front lateral-side compressed grooves (23) which are formed on the front lateral sides of the central-part compressed grooves so as to be linearly symmetrical with the centerline as the symmetry axis; and a pair of rear lateral-side compressed grooves (24) which are formed on the rear lateral sides of the central-part compressed grooves so as to be linearly symmetrical with the centerline as the symmetry axis. The front lateral-side compressed groove pair and the rear lateral-side compressed groove pair each comprise a first compressed groove and a second compressed groove that is disposed farther away from the centerline as compared with the first groove. The first and second compressed grooves are formed in a circular arc shape and disposed in such a manner as to have the inner sides of the respective arcs of both compressed grooves face each other. An extension line of each of the central-part compressed grooves passes between one end of the first compressed groove and one end of the second compressed groove but does not pass between the other end of the first compressed groove and the other end of the second compressed groove.
