Abstract:

[Problem] To provide an absorbent article capable of sufficiently reducing the widthwise length of an absorbent core and further increasing comfort during wearing. [Solution] This absorbent article (10) has: a crotch area (S3) including the longitudinal center of the absorbent article; a front side area (S1) located closer to the front side than the crotch area; a rear side area (S2) located closer to the rear side than the crotch area; and an absorbent core (50) disposed at least in the crotch area. The absorbent core has a pair of side slits (52) extending in the longitudinal direction. The absorbent core has: a central area (RC) sandwiched between the side slits; and side regions (RS) located between the side slits and the outer edges of the absorbent core. The side slits each have a large width section (53) having a larger widthwise length than the widthwise length of the side area in the crotch area. The longitudinal center (53CL) of the large width section is located closer to the front side than the longitudinal center (10CL) of the absorbent article.
