Abstract:
Sensors installed in a mobile object measure the acceleration and attitude angle of the mobile object, and the measurement results are collected (steps S21, S22). The low-frequency acceleration component and the high-frequency acceleration component of the results of the measurement of the acceleration are separated (step S24), and the rate of variation with time of the attitude angle is derived by computation (step S25A). After the extraction of the high- and low-frequency acceleration components and the deviation of the rate of variation with time of the attitude angle, the translation contribution acceleration and the rotation contribution acceleration are estimated on the basis of the high- and low-frequency acceleration components, the attitude angle, and the rate of variation with time of the attitude angle (step S26A). As a result, the translation contribution acceleration contributing to the translation of the mobile object and the rotation contribution acceleration contributing to the rotation thereof are estimated with good accuracy.
