Abstract:
Provided is an access point device with which the number of connected wireless communication devices in an entire given space can be increased. This access point device 3 is a wireless LAN access point device that is connected to a wired network NT, and that simultaneously connects multiple wireless communication clients 4 to the wired network NT. This access point device has: an interface unit 12 that exchanges communication signals with an external device 2; an antenna unit 6 that transmits and receives, as wireless communication signals, the communication signals exchanged with the interface unit 12; and an attenuator 10 that is provided in a signal emission portion of the antenna unit 6, and reduces the communicable range of the wireless communication signals.
