Abstract:

This acoustic wave sensor is equipped with: a piezoelectric body (1) that vibrates in the diameter direction in response to an electric signal; a vibrational direction converter (2) that is formed into a substantially conical shape and converts vibrations of the piezoelectric body (1), which is provided in contact with a large-diameter plane (21), in the diameter direction into vibrations in the axial direction of a small-diameter plane (22); and an acoustic radiator (3) that is provided in contact with the small-diameter plane (22) of the vibrational direction converter (2) and radiates acoustic waves as the small-diameter plane (22) vibrates in the axial direction.
