Abstract:
An active material according to the present invention contains, as constituent elements: lithium; silicon; oxygen; a first element including at least one of boron and phosphorus; a second element including at least one of an alkali metal element (excluding lithium), a transition element, and a typical element (excluding lithium, silicon, oxygen, boron, phosphorus, an alkali metal element, and an alkaline-earth metal element); and a third element including an alkaline-earth metal element. The content of silicon in all constituent elements excluding lithium, oxygen, and carbon is 60-98 atomic%. The content of the first element in all constituent elements is 1-15 atomic%. The content of the second element in all constituent elements is 1-34 atomic%. The content of the third element in all constituent elements is 0-6 atomic%. In an XPS spectrum (binding energy (eV) on the horizontal axis and spectral intensity on the vertical axis) of Si2p as measured by using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), a first peak having an apex in a binding energy range of 100-102 eV is detected. In a Raman spectrum (Raman shift (cm-1) on the horizontal axis and spectral intensity on the vertical axis) as measured by using Raman spectroscopy, a second peak having an apex in a Raman shift range of 600 cm-1 to 640 cm-1, inclusive, is detected.
