Abstract:
The present invention provides an actuator which exhibits good interlayer adhesion at a stacking interface, good electrical conductivity of an electrode layer and good smoothness of the electrode layer.　This actuator comprises a plurality of elastomer layers and a plurality of electrode layers; and the elastomer layers and the electrode layers are alternately stacked. The electrode layers contain carbon black; the content of the carbon black in the electrode layers is from 10% by mass to 20% by mass; and the specific surface area of the carbon black is from 380 g/m2 to 800 m2/g.
