Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to cause the rotation of an instrument along the longitudinal axis and improve operability, even when an insertion part is positioned within a body. Provided is an adapter (6) for an instrument, comprising: a cap member (11) which is attached to a leading end of a flexible insertion part (5) having a channel, and which has a through hole which is positioned in a location which matches the aperture of the channel; an approximately tubular engagement member which is attached within the through hole of the cap member (11) rotatably along the axis of the through hole and with movement restricted in the axial direction, which engages an instrument (8) which is inserted via the channel and is hooked with the instrument (8) in the circumference direction, and which has an insertion hole; and a rotation mechanism (14), further comprising a drive force transmission member (15) which is wound around the outer circumference face of the engagement member and which causes the engagement member to rotate about the axis by tension.
