Abstract:
An in-wheel drive device (21) for propelling a vehicle forward by rotating a hub wheel (32) in a forward direction, with the horizontal direction orthogonal to an axis (O) of the hub wheel designated as the vehicular longitudinal direction, wherein the in-wheel drive device is characterized in that a discharge port (61), formed so as to pass through a casing (22a) in a radial direction and used to discharge oil in the casing into an oil tank (53), is arranged farther rearward in the vehicle than is the axis of the hub wheel.
