Abstract:
The present invention is an addition-cure-type silicone composition characterized by comprising: (A) a three-dimensional net-shaped organopolysiloxane which has at least one alkenyl group and at least one aryl group per molecule, also has a siloxane unit represented by general formula R2SiO (wherein R represents an organic group) and a siloxane unit represented by formula SiO2 and does not have a unit represented by general formula RSiO3/2; (B) a linear organopolysiloxane which has at least two alkenyl groups and at least one aryl group per molecule; (C) an organosilicon compound which has hydrogen atoms bound to at least two silicon atoms per molecule and does not have an alkenyl group; and (D) a hydrosilylation catalyst containing a platinum-group metal. Thus, provided are: an addition-cure-type silicone composition which enables the production of a cured material having a high refractive index, high transparency and high temperature cycle resistance; a sealing material for optical elements; and an optical element sealed with the sealing material for optical elements.
