Abstract:
The present invention relates to an AFPM motor/generator having an AFPM mode and an RFPM mode combined together. The AFPM and RFPM combined motor and generator comprises: first and second rotators, each having a magnet installed in opposite directions; first and second stators, each having a coil on either end of a core, facing each other, with the core including a fixing unit connected to the central portion thereof and fixed to an external anchor bracket to be interposed between the first rotator and the second rotator; and a yoke, which is spaced apart from the magnets installed in the first and second rotators and connects the first and second rotators from the inside to form a magnetic flux path. Accordingly, the present invention benefits from the AFPM in terms of a minimal magnetic leakage flux as well as from the RFPM in terms of a driving effect by a counter electromotive force. Moreover, having two stators between magnets, the efficiency can be doubled in a given size, thereby providing a small, light and highly efficient motor and generator.
