Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an agent for ameliorating atopic dermatitis that exhibits excellent antiviral and antibacterial properties. [Solution] An agent for ameliorating atopic dermatitis according to the present invention is used as a topical agent for the skin of an organism and comprises an antibacterial/antiviral composition that contains a base and a copper compound–supporting titanium oxide photocatalyst. The agent for ameliorating atopic dermatitis is characterized in that the copper compound–supporting titanium oxide photocatalyst includes: titanium oxide in which the rutile titanium oxide content is at least 50 mol%; and a monovalent copper compound and a divalent copper compound which are supported on the surface of the titanium oxide.
