[Problem] To accurately control the internal pressure of an air bag while having a simple structure. [Solution] The present invention is provided with an air bag body that can be inflated and deployed in a bag shape; an inflator for generating an inflating gas to be supplied to the air bag; a cylindrical vent tube which communicates with the air bag and by which the gas of the air bag interior can be discharged; and a strap which connects with an inner surface of the air bag and with the vent tube and by which the opening and closing of the vent tube can be adjusted. A first end of the vent tube communicates with an opening formed in the air bag body, and the gas can be discharged from a second end on the opposite side from the first end. During deployment of the air bag, the tension of the strap increases and the vent tube is closed. Further, when an air bag deployment stroke contracts, the tension of the strap decreases and the vent tube can be opened.
