Abstract:
The present invention is provided with: a stator (2) having a stationary contact (1); a mover (4) having a movable contact (3) contactable with and separable from the stationary contact (1); an arc extinguishing chamber (14) for extinguishing an arc (16); a fixed-side arc runner (10) having an end section that extends in a reverse direction of the mover (4) from a gap between the stator (2) and the arc extinguishing chamber (14); a movable-side arc runner (11) having an end section that extends in a reverse direction of the stator (2) from a gap between the mover (4) and the arc extinguishing chamber (14); and a mold frame (15) that surrounds the stator (2) and the mover (4) and supports the stator (2), the mover (4), the fixed-side arc runner (10) and the movable-side arc runner (11), wherein the mold frame (15) is provided with a fixed-side discharge passage (21) that provides communication between an opening provided in a side surface of the mold frame (15) and a fixed-side discharge port (19), and is partitioned from the stator (2) side by a fixed-side shield wall (23); and a movable-side discharge passage (22) that provides communication between an opening provided in a side surface of the mold frame (15) and a movable-side discharge port (20), and is partitioned from the mover (4) side by a movable-side shield wall (24).
