The present invention relates to an air-cleaning device; and an objective thereof is to provide a direct ozone reduction (DOR) system in which a novel ozone cleaning body is carried on a constituent component of a vehicle, and to provide a method for manufacturing the DOR system. As shown in FIG. 5(A), a radiator (14) as an air cleaning device of the present embodiment includes, in the core part thereof, an ozone cleaning body in which an ozone cleaning catalyst layer (26) is formed on the outer shell of activated carbon particles (24) as a nucleus by a powder-plating method. In accordance with such an ozone cleaning body, as shown by the arrow in FIG. 5(B), ozone can be diffused in the sequence of the ozone cleaning layer (26) and the activated carbon particles (24). Therefore, the probability of gas contact with the activated carbon can be reduced in a relative manner and the progress of oxidation reaction in the activated carbon by active oxygen can be inhibited because an ozone decomposition reaction by a co-catalyst can be started before the ozone decomposition reaction by the activated carbon.
