Abstract:
To obtain a highly efficient, externally mounted air lubrication system for a ship, there is provided an air recovery device comprising: a recovery-side chamber having an air intake opening in the surface facing downward with respect to the bottom of the ship, the recovery-side chamber being mounted on the bottom of the ship astern of an air-blowing device for feeding air bubbles to the bottom of the ship; and a recovery unit for recovering the air inside the recovery-side chamber. An expulsion pressure is generated by accumulation, in the recovery-side chamber, of air bubbles taken in from the air intake port, and the air can be smoothly recovered from the recovery unit.
