Abstract:
An airbag device which, without a sacrifice in the strength of a housing, is configured to occupy a reduced space and have an increased degree of freedom in layout. An airbag device comprising: a housing provided with a box-shaped housing body having an opening in the upper part thereof; an inflator provided inside the housing body and supplying an inflating gas to the airbag; and a securing fastener for securing the inflator to the bottom wall of the housing body. The bottom wall of the housing body has a recess provided with a wall which is formed so as to rise upward. The securing fastener secures the inflator to the wall of the recess while being inserted through the wall. In the secured state, among the portions of the securing fastener located in the space within the recess, the portion which secures the inflator to the housing body is located above the bottom surface of the housing body.
