Abstract:
Provided are: an Al-Si-Fe aluminum alloy casting material with excellent elongation while having the characteristic of high rigidity; and a production method therefor. The Al-Si-Fe aluminum alloy casting material has: a composition that comprises Si: 12.0 mass% to 25.0 mass%, Fe: 0.5 mass% to 4.0 mass%, and Cr: 0.17 mass% to 5.0 mass%, the balance being made of Al and incidental impurities; and a structure in which the Si crystallized matter surrounds Al-Cr-Si compounds.
