Abstract:
Provided is an ethylene–vinyl alcohol copolymer composition, as an ethylene–alcohol copolymer composition having suppressed coloration and containing an ethylene–alcohol copolymer (A), an alkaline earth metal compound (B), and a sorbic acid ester (C). The sorbic acid ester (C) content is 0.00001–10 ppm per weight of ethylene–vinyl alcohol copolymer composition. The ratio of the metal equivalent content of the alkaline earth metal compound (B) to the sorbic acid ester (C) content is 10–30,000 at a weight ratio expressed as (metal equivalent content of the alkaline earth metal compound (B))/(sorbic acid ester (C) content).
