Abstract:
This alerting device has an alertness determination unit and a stimulus determination unit. The alertness determination unit determines the state of alertness of an occupant of the vehicle. In the stimulus determination unit, an image (410) including an alerting image (440) having blurring on an end side including a boundary with a background image (420) is presented to the occupant by an image display unit in accordance with the state of alertness determined by the alertness determination unit. This gives the occupant a visual stimulus that increases the occupant's alertness.
