Abstract:
A compound that can be represented by formula (2). In said formula, R3 represents a C12 or C14 hydrocarbon group consisting primarily of a 1-methylundecyl group, a 1-ethyldecyl group, a 1-dodecyl group, a 1-methyltridecyl group, a 1-ethyldodecyl group, or a 1-tetradecyl group, and the molar percentage of said hydrocarbon groups in which the benzylic carbon is quaternary is between 30 mol% and 40 mol%, inclusive; R4 represents a C16-20 branched hydrocarbon group; the sum of the molar percentage of the hydrocarbon groups represented by R3 in which the benzylic carbon is quaternary and the molar percentage of the hydrocarbon groups represented by R4 in which the benzylic carbon is quaternary is between 42 mol% and 100 mol%, inclusive; and m and n represent real numbers that satisfy the relations 1.0 ≤ m ≤ 2.0, 1.0 ≤ n ≤ 2.0, and 2.0 ≤ m+n ≤ 3.0.
