Title:
ALLERGEN INACTIVATING FIBER, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE FIBER, AND FIBER PRODUCT MAKING USE OF THE FIBER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/029597
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An allergen inactivating fiber characterized in that on a surface of crosslinked fiber having carboxyl and/or a salt thereof, there is firmly fixed Ag and/or Cu in an amount of 2.5 mass% or more based on the whole mass of the fiber. This fiber can be produced by bonding Ag ion and/or Cu ion to at least some of the carboxyls of a crosslinked fiber and thereafter performing an alkali treatment so that Ag and/or Cu is precipitated in the form of nanosize level ultrafine grains and firmly fixed on the fiber surface. This fiber exhibits an excellent inactivating effect on allergens.
