Abstract:
A mobile telephone apparatus capable of routing an IP datagram to an appropriate wireless
communication path without degrading the functional versatility that is a great
feature of IP. In this mobile telephone apparatus, the destination port numbers
and others of TCP, UDP and so on are stored beforehand in an information table (501).
Thereafter, during a packet data communication, an IP datagram receiving part
(502) receives an IP datagram, and a TCP/UDP port number extracting part (503)
retrieves the destination port number of a TCP header or UDP header included in
the payload of the IP datagram. The retrieved destination port number is then
checked against the contents of the information table (501). A PDP context determining
part (504) determines an NSAPI number, that is, the PDP context to which the IP
datagram belongs. A routing part (505) determines, in accordance with a result
of that determination, a communication path and routes the IP datagram to that
path.
