Abstract:
The present invention relates to an anti-loosening nut wherein an incline is formed in the lower surface of the anti-loosening nut, such that the inclined surface has the advantage of increasing the mutual coupling force and preventing loosening as the screw thread comes into intimate contact in one direction due to the force of establishing face-to-face contact during the process of assembly with various objects to be assembled therewith such as a bolt, and there is a greater surface area at the bottom surface of the inclined anti-loosening nut as compared with the bottom surface of a common anti-loosening nut that has no incline, such that the surface area of contact with the bolt is increased and consequently there are the advantages of stable installation and prevention of loosening of the anti-loosening nut, and also a cut-away slit is formed horizontally in the middle of the anti-loosening nut, and the cut-away slit is plastically deformed vertically such that the cut-away slit performs the role of a spring as the plastically deformed portion reverts to the state prior to deformation during the process of screw coupling with the bolt, and consequently the kinetic energy applied to the anti-loosening nut is converted to tension, and, by reducing the ensuing stress, it is possible to extend the life of the bolt and the anti-loosening nut. In an anti-loosening nut according to one embodiment of the present invention, a fastening hole having a screw thread on the inner circumferential surface thereof is provided passing through the centre thereof, and the lower surface is formed at an incline, while the cut-away slit is formed horizontally on the inside thereof.
