Abstract:
The present invention provides: an antifouling agent for separation membranes, which is capable of effectively preventing fouling of a UF film or MF film that is used for a membrane separation treatment of a water to be treated, said water containing polyvalent metal ions and a corrosive substance; and an antifouling method. An antifouling agent for UF films or MF films, which contains a phosphonic acid compound. An antifouling method for separation membranes, in which a phosphonic acid compound is added to a water to be subjected to a membrane separation treatment by means of a UF film or MF film.
