Abstract:
Provided is an antifouling coating composition which, when held in seawater over a long period of time, retains a stable coating film dissolution rate without causing coating film problems such as cracking and can sustain stable antifouling performance. The present invention provides an antifouling coating composition that comprises a copolymer A and an antifouling agent D, wherein: the copolymer A is a copolymer of a monomer (a) represented by general formula (1) with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer (b) other than the monomer (a); the monomer (a) includes a compound in which n in general formula (1) is 2 or more; the monomer (b) includes a monomer (b1); and a homopolymer of the monomer (b1) has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of -20°C or higher and a common logarithm logP of the n-octanol/water partition coefficient P of 0.9 or less.
