Abstract:
The problem addressed by the present invention is to provide: an antiviral coating composition in which metal-doped silica exhibits excellent antiviral properties and which is capable of forming a coating film that is held firmly on the surface of an article; a coating film formed from said antiviral coating composition; and an article that has said coating film. As a means for solving said problem, this antiviral coating composition comprises (1) metal-doped silica, (2) a polymer containing vinyl pyrrolidone units, and (3) an alcohol-based solvent or a mixed solvent of an alcohol-based solvent and water. The coating film according to the present invention is formed from an antiviral coating composition according to the present invention. The article according to the present invention has a coating film according to the present invention.
