Abstract:
The present invention provides an apparatus for grinding food waste utilizing ozone for a sink, in which the food waste passing through a drain in the sink is simultaneously subjected to a grinding process and an ozonization process, thereby allowing effective sterilization and deodorization of the food waste by ozonization, utilizing the strong oxidizing power of ozone, so that the processes of treating, discharging and collecting the food waste can be carried out without air pollution or negative effects on the human body. In particular, the present invention provides an apparatus for grinding food waste utilizing ozone for a sink, the apparatus comprising a grinding plate and a cutting ring in an accommodation space of a grinder for grinding fiber food waste such as Kimchi and vegetables such that the food waste is primarily ground by the grinding plate and then secondarily ground by the cutting ring, thereby increasing the efficiency of grinding and cutting the food waste. The apparatus for grinding food waste utilizing ozone for a sink according to the present invention comprises: a grinder which is installed to communicate with a drain in the sink for grinding the food waste introduced through the drain, the grinder having an outlet, connected with a discharging pipe, for discharging the ground food waste; and an ozone generator for generating ozone (O3) with air supplied from outside, the ozone generator being installed at a predetermined position to communicate with one selected from the interior of the grinder comprising the outlet and the discharging pipe connected with the outlet, such that the generated ozone is supplied thereto. The grinder comprises: a hopper which is installed to communicate with the drain in the sink and has an outlet for discharging the food waste; a chamber which is coupled to the lower part of the hopper and has a motor installed therein and an accommodation space for accommodating the food waste introduced through the drain in the sink; a grinding plate which is positioned in the accommodation space of the chamber to be connected with the motor and rotates by the operation of the motor to grind the food waste; and a cutting ring for cutting the food waste, the cutting ring being positioned at the upper part of the grinding plate positioned in the accommodation space of the chamber.
