Abstract:
An apparatus for estimating a battery resistance, according to the present invention, comprises: a sensing unit configured to respectively measure the voltage, current, and temperature of a battery; and a processor operably coupled to the sensing unit, wherein the processor can calculate a measurement resistance of the battery by using the voltage and the current of the battery, determine whether an operating state of the battery is a resistance compensation condition, compensate for the measurement resistance by using a resistance increase/decrease rate of a BOL resistor of the battery according to a charging/discharging rate when the operating state of the battery is the resistance compensation condition, and determine the compensated measurement resistance to be the resistance of the battery.
