Abstract:
An apparatus, a method, and an image processing device for smoke detection. The smoke detection method comprises: modeling a background image for a current image so as to obtain a foreground image and a background image of the current image(101); obtaining, on the basis of the foreground image, one or more candidate areas in the current image for detecting a moving object (102); calculating attribute information of a certain candidate area corresponding to the current image and/or the background image (103); and determining, according to the attribute information, whether smoke exists in the candidate area (104). Accordingly, not only smoke can be detected rapidly and accurately by means of a video image, but the accuracy of the smoke detection based on video in varied illumination or in complicated environment can also be improved.
