Abstract:
The present invention provides an apparatus for producing CO and an apparatus for electrolyzing CO2, each of which enables the promotion of the effective use of CO2 and the reduction of the discharge of CO2 into the atmosphere. Each of an apparatus for producing CO and an apparatus 1 for electrolyzing CO2 according to one embodiment of the present invention is provided with: a CO2 electrolysis unit 3 which comprises a cathode unit 6 for generating CO by means of electrolysis of CO2 and an anode unit 7 for generating an oxide by means of oxidation of an object to be oxidized; a CO purification unit 4 for purifying CO from a CO-containing gas that is supplied from the CO2 electrolysis unit 3; and an H2 purification unit 5 for purifying H2 from a CO extraction residue gas that is discharged from the CO purification unit.
