Abstract:
An apparatus for production of fiber reinforced molding material, characterized in that there is disposed rotating roll (4) downstream of cooling unit (2), the rotating roll (4) having grooves (5) brought into contact with rods (6), and that the width (b) of groove bottom part where contact of groove (5) with rod occurs is substantially equal to the diameter (a) of rod (6). Thus, there can be provided an apparatus for production of fiber reinforced molding material that not only realizes rectilinear stable advance of rod orbit, inhibiting any oscillation of rods but also suppresses any deterioration of rod-constituting resin attributed to excess moisture (cooling medium) of rods to thereby prevent any rod fluffing, breakage, etc.
