Abstract:
An approaching vehicle detection device detects an approaching vehicle on the basis of sound collected by a plurality of sound collectors (13A, 14A, 15A, 16A), and is characterized in that a sound source (particularly the running sound of a vehicle) is detected using closely spaced pairs of sound collectors (11A (13A, 14A), 12A (15A, 16A)), and the approach of the sound source is detected using a pair of sound collectors (13A, 16A) that are disposed more widely spaced apart than the pairs of sound collectors (11A, 12A).
