Abstract:

Provided is an aqueous metal surface treatment agent for a lithium ion secondary cell the purpose of which is to improve solvent resistance and interlayer adhesiveness between a metal member and a resin-coated layer such as a film or a paint film without using trivalent chromium. The aqueous metal surface treatment agent for a lithium ion secondary cell comprises a metal crosslinking agent and a polyvinyl alcohol resin having 2 to 15 mol% of 1,2-diol structural units represented by general formula (1), a degree of saponification between 90 and 99.9 mol%, and an average degree of polymerization between 250 and 3,000.
