Abstract:
The present invention relates to an aqueous pigment dispersion for producing water-based ink-jet inks which comprises a binder, a pigment, and an aqueous medium, wherein the binder comprises a urethane resin (A) and an aqueous medium (B), the urethane resin (A) being a product of reaction between polyols (a1) comprising a polyol (a1-1) having an acid group and a polyol (a1-2) other than the polyol (a1-1) and one or more polyisocyanates (a2) including a polyisocyanate (a2-1) having an alicyclic structure, the acid group contained in the urethane resin (A) having been neutralized, and the urethane resin (A) containing the alicyclic structure in an amount of 500-5,000 mmol/kg, and the pigment is dispersed in the dispersion so as to have a volume-average particle diameter of 50-400 nm.
