Abstract:
Provided is a technique with which an AR display device can enhance the visibility, by a user (driver, etc.), of an image including an object and an AR image, thereby achieving suitable AR presentation. An HUD device 1, which is an AR display device mounted in a vehicle-mounted system 100, comprises: an image selection unit 11 which receives an image captured by a camera 2, and selects and extracts an object region of an object from the image; a visibility determination unit 12 which determines the visibility, by a user, of the object region on the basis of indicator values; an AR image generation unit 13 which performs an image processing process for visibility enhancement on the basis of the visibility of the object region so as to generate an AR image associated with the object; and an AR display unit 15 which superimposes the AR image on a screen 5. The HUD device 1 performs control so as to switch between displaying and not displaying the AR image and change the content of the image processing process in accordance with visibility.
