Abstract:
[Problem] The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide an armature assembly for an electromagnetic clutch in which deflection of a friction surface of an armature can be kept within standards throughout the entire periphery, and a method for manufacturing said armature assembly. [Solution] An armature assembly 1 for an electromagnetic clutch according to the present invention has: a hub 10 having a cylindrical part 11a for inserting a rotating shaft of a compressor, a bottom part 11b of the cylindrical part having a striking surface 11c with which a tip of the rotating shaft comes into contact; an armature 20 that, due to the electrification or non-electrification of an exciting coil, moves in the axial direction of the rotating shaft and comes into contact with or separates from a rotor to transmit and cut off motive power; an outer ring 30 secured to the armature; and an annular elastic member 40 linking the hub and the outer ring together; wherein the striking surface is a cut-machined surface.
