Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2001/025686
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Generally interior articles are delivered in parts and are joined together with the help of a tool. The invention in question has created a system for attaching and connecting, which eliminates the need for a tool through using a permanent magnet, which attracts one or more units and are mounted onto the respective parts, which are to be joined together.

AMENDED CLAIMS [received by the International Bureau on 30 January 2001 (30. 01. 01) original claim 1 replaced by new claims 13 (1 page)] 1. A device for joining together units, characterized in, that the device consists of a member, which through magnetic attraction attracts one or more units, that one unit preferably consists of a mounting base and that another unit for example consists of a main component of a source of light such as a candle light.
2. A device according to claim 1, characterized in, that the units are included in the parts of the permanent interior fittings and the movable interior fittings like furniture, lamps and other such materials and other interior articles.

Description:
NAME: Arrangements for joining together different elements with the help of attracting members as magnets, velcros and other such materials.

A. Concerning lighting, lighting accessories, socket-outlets, sound absorbers, false ceiling.

THE BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The intention of the invention is to solve the demand of flexible lighting and simple installation of lighting, lighting parts, lighting accessories and in specific cases sound absorbers and other accessories for false ceiling.

The intention is: 1. that the consumer can easily adjust the lighting to his/her varied needs, that the lighting of places of work and in homes can easily be adjusted and changed both for function and look, by changing some parts of a lamp or easily placing them in a new way.

2. that the manufacturer can easily produce a series of frame works, which make up the ground construction for lamps of quite shifting character.

3. to solve the need of simple installation of lighting, lighting parts and lighting accessories for both public places, work places and homes. The installation of lighting in the given place and mounting of parts of lighting can often be difficult and time consuming especially for the elderly and disabled but also taking up time in many other situations.

THE PURPOSE AND THE MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTERISTIC OF THE INVENTION The purpose of the invention is to solve the need of flexible lighting and simple installation.

This task has been solved through different kinds of lamps, which can be constructed around a frame work consisting of for example a pillar, an arm or another arrangement for mounting, a lamp-shade or a part of a lamp-shade. Lamps with the same kind of frame can make quite different lamps with different expressions and functions.

A simple installation of parts of lamps as well as installation of complete lamps on for example ceilings or walls and an installation of lighting accessories of different kinds is done with the help of attracting members like magnets velcros and other such materials.

A change of design of the electric light socket and other socket-outlets as a general change of the standard in these connections, makes it easier for installation of lamps and other products.

Also in this case attracting members like magnets, velcros and other such elements are used.
