Provided are an array substrate and a display apparatus. The array substrate comprises: a base substrate; a gate line on one side of the base substrate; a first insulating layer that covers the gate line; a data line on the side of the first insulating layer away from the base substrate, wherein the data line and the gate line define a plurality of pixel regions; a second insulating layer that covers the data line; a common electrode on the side of the second insulating layer away from the data line, the common electrode comprising a plurality of portions corresponding to the plurality of pixel regions, wherein each portion comprises a plurality of strip-shaped electrodes, a slit being formed between adjacent strip-shaped electrodes, each strip-shaped electrode comprising a first main body portion, a second main body portion, a first connecting portion and a second connecting portion, and the first main body portion comprising a first corner end portion; and a metal wire that is in the same layer as the gate line and extends in a first direction, wherein an orthographic projection of the first corner end portion on the base substrate exceeds an orthographic projection of the metal wire on the base substrate.
