An article delivery system 1 includes a drone 10 that delivers an article and an article delivery control device 50 and comprises: a communication control unit 69 that transmits an article delivery code to a terminal device 70 from which an order for delivery of an article is received; a radiation control unit 25 that causes the drone 10 to radiate light including the delivery code when the drone 10 has reached a delivery destination; a drone control unit that, when the delivery code acquired by the terminal device 70 through transmission by a communication control unit 29 matches the delivery code acquired by receiving light radiated by the drone 10, permits the terminal device 70 to perform an operation for releasing the article by the drone 10 and instructs the drone 10 to release the article on the basis of information received from the terminal device 70 and instructing to release the article; and a release control unit that executes control of performing the operation for releasing the article when receiving the information instructing to release the article.
