Abstract:
An artificial Eustachian tube fitted in patient’s Eustachian tube that is effective in the basic remedy of Eustachian tube dysfunction diseases and enables closing of eardrum perforation, which artificial Eustachian tube can be widely applied to patient’s Eustachian tube isthmus of variable size. There is provided an artificial Eustachian tube fitted in patient’s Eustachian tube in the state of engaging with the isthmus of Eustachian tube so as to make its forefront face the cartilage part of Eustachian tube, characterized in that one or more circular protrusions of 0.6 to 3.6 mm outer diameter are provided within the range from the forefront to 16 mm lengthwise, and that the cavity of the tube opens outward through a forefront side aperture at the forefront, or front of one most close to the forefront among the circular protrusions, or therebetween, while in the rear of the circular protrusions, the tube cavity opens outward through a rear aperture.
