Abstract:
This assistance device is provided with: a base; an armpit support part which is provided with a pair of left and right core members having linear portions capable of entering under the left and right armpits of the torso of a person to be assisted, and outer circumferential members which cover the outer circumferences of the linear portions of the core members, come into contact with the torso of the person to be assisted, and are provided so as to be capable of rotating with respect to the linear portions, said armpit support part being capable of relative movement with respect to the base while supporting the left and right armpits of the person to be assisted; and a drive unit for driving the armpit support part.
