Abstract:
This assistive device comprises a base, a pair of armpit support parts respectively supporting the left and right armpits of a person to be assisted, and a drive unit moving the pair of the armpit support parts in at least the up-down direction, with the base serving as the reference. Each of the armpit support parts comprises an ordinary surface section contacting at least an armpit and an upper arm part of the person to be assisted, and a friction-reducing surface section having a smaller frictional coefficient than that of the ordinary surface section, contacting a flank of the person to be assisted.
