An asymmetric cellulosic filter membrane used for virus removal and a preparation method therefor. The filter membrane comprises a main body, wherein one side surface of the main body is a first outer surface, and the other side surface of the main body is a second outer surface; the average pore diameter of the second outer surface is 15 to 40 nm; the average pore diameter of the first outer surface is at least 4 times or more than the average pore diameter of the second outer surface; the main body comprises a dirt containing layer and a trapping layer, which is configured to trap viruses, one side of the dirt containing layer being the first outer surface, and one side of the trapping layer being the second outer surface; the average pore diameter of the dirt containing layer is greater than the average pore diameter of the trapping layer; and a change gradient of the average pore diameter of the dirt containing layer is greater than that of the average pore diameter of the trapping layer. The method for preparing the filter membrane comprises: preparing a membrane casting solution, casting the membrane casting solution onto a carrier to form a liquid membrane, and immersing the liquid membrane in a coagulating bath for phase separation solidification.
