Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a communication method and a communication apparatus. The communication method comprises: a first node receiving first request information from a first network device, wherein the first request information is used for requesting the acquisition of identification information of a target terminal device, and the first request information comprises an identifier of a first cell; the first node sending second request information to a second node according to the identifier of the first cell, wherein the second request information is used for requesting the acquisition of the identification information of the target terminal device; the first node receiving identification information of a first terminal device from the second node, wherein the first terminal device is a terminal device among the target terminal devices; and the first node sending the identification information of the first terminal device to the first network device. Therefore, passive Internet-of-Things terminals deployed on a large scale can be queried on the basis of an IAB architecture, thereby increasing the communication distance and coverage range of the passive Internet-of-Things terminals, and improving the management efficiency for the passive Internet-of-Things terminals.
