Abstract:
This atomic resonator 10 comprises: a gas cell 1 in which alkali metal atoms have been enclosed; a light detection device 2 that detects light that has traversed the gas cell 1 and converts said light into an electric signal; a high frequency oscillator 3 that receives input of the electric signal and outputs said signal with the frequency divided by two; and a laser light source 4 that modulates light on the basis of the signal output by the high frequency oscillator 3 and introduces the modulated light into the gas cell 1. The atomic resonator generates a resonance frequency from CPT resonance. The high frequency oscillator 3 has an injection lock-type frequency divider circuit that comprises an acoustic wave resonator as an oscillation element.
